About ClimateWorks Foundation
ClimateWorks Foundation is a philanthropic organisation that supports efforts to address climate change by mobilising funding, strengthening partnerships, and advancing climate solutions.
The Global Industry Hub, where this position sits, focuses on accelerating the decarbonisation of heavy industry, particularly steel, cement, and chemicals. It connects funders, governments, industry stakeholders, civil society organisations, innovators, and development institutions to support climate-aligned industrial transformation.
The Hub combines policy development, economic analysis, financial alignment, and institutional strengthening to help advance the transition towards a net-zero economy.
About the Program Manager Role
The cement sector accounts for approximately 8% of global CO₂ emissions, according to the vacancy description. Reducing emissions from cement and building materials is therefore an important part of broader industrial decarbonisation efforts.
The Program Manager will work closely with the Director of Cement and Building Materials to implement strategic priorities and manage a portfolio of grants. The role also involves connecting organisations, facilitating knowledge exchange, identifying emerging opportunities, and supporting initiatives that advance industrial climate solutions.
The successful candidate will need to combine strong analytical and organisational skills with an understanding of climate change, grantmaking, and the challenges facing the cement and building materials industries.
