About the International Labour Organization
The International Labour Organization is a United Nations specialised agency working to promote decent work and social justice. Its activities include supporting labour standards, employment opportunities, social dialogue and inclusive labour markets.
In Kuwait, the ILO is contributing to efforts to advance the inclusion of persons with disabilities in employment and economic life. Although the country has laws, policies and programmes intended to support inclusion, challenges remain in enabling persons with disabilities to participate fully in the labour market.
The vacancy forms part of a United Nations Joint Programme on Promoting Inclusive Employment and Empowerment, supported financially by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
The programme involves the ILO, UNESCO, WHO and UNODC, with participating organisations contributing to different areas of the broader initiative.
