🌍 A Role with Purpose
The Digital Mobilisation Officer isn’t just about clicks and shares. It’s about building meaningful connections and rallying communities to take decisive action for the environment. You will be a digital engagement and mobilisation leader, entrusted with turning online momentum into offline impact.
You’ll help take platforms like VUMA.EARTH — Greenpeace Africa’s open campaign platform — to the next level. This is where ordinary citizens become campaigners, where ideas become petitions, and where activism becomes a shared African journey.
By supporting campaigns, guiding storytelling, and co-creating digital activism strategies, you will directly contribute to Greenpeace Africa’s mission of a just, green, and peaceful future.
Location, Language & Flexibility
Greenpeace Africa is proudly Pan-African. While the role prefers candidates based in one of its operational offices — South Africa, Cameroon, Senegal, or Kenya — the organization embraces a hybrid model, making work-from-home a realistic option for talented candidates across the continent.
Bilingualism is a major asset, with English and French as key working languages. Fluency in additional regional languages will be highly valued, reflecting Greenpeace Africa’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity in reaching and mobilising communities.

💬 Why This Role Matters
Digital mobilisation is more than a job — it’s a force for good. In Africa, where the climate crisis intersects with socio-economic inequalities, digital tools can play a powerful role in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Greenpeace Africa is not looking for perfection. It’s looking for authenticity, courage, and creativity. If you are driven by purpose, understand the nuances of digital organizing, and want to support African environmental activism from the ground up, this role is for you.
In a region where youth-led climate movements are already reshaping narratives, your work as a Digital Mobilisation Officer could catalyze even bigger shifts. You won’t just be crafting posts — you’ll be crafting power.
