About the Role: Framing Consultant

Purpose of the Consultancy

Amnesty International seeks a consultant to develop 2–4 overarching narrative frames that:

• Unify Amnesty’s climate, economic, and corporate accountability messaging.
• Engage supporters, policymakers, and the general public effectively.
• Serve as a strategic reference for advocacy, campaigns, and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Review & Analysis:
  • Assess current narratives within Amnesty’s Climate Justice, Economic & Social Justice, and Corporate Accountability teams.
  • Conduct a rapid review of key documents including strategic plans, donor reports, and campaign materials.
  • Organize interviews and focus groups with program staff to gain deeper insights into existing communication strategies.
• Framing Development:
  • Propose initial draft framings (2–4 taglines) based on research and consultations.
  • Facilitate two workshops with program staff to refine messaging.
  • Deliver final taglines accompanied by short narrative summaries.

Project Duration

The consultancy is expected to last 6–8 weeks, with deliverables including:

• Week 5: Submission of draft narrative framings.
• Week 8: Finalized taglines with comprehensive narrative summaries.
