About the Role: Framing Consultant
Purpose of the Consultancy
Amnesty International seeks a consultant to develop 2–4 overarching narrative frames that:
- Unify Amnesty’s climate, economic, and corporate accountability messaging.
- Engage supporters, policymakers, and the general public effectively.
- Serve as a strategic reference for advocacy, campaigns, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Review & Analysis:
- Assess current narratives within Amnesty’s Climate Justice, Economic & Social Justice, and Corporate Accountability teams.
- Conduct a rapid review of key documents including strategic plans, donor reports, and campaign materials.
- Organize interviews and focus groups with program staff to gain deeper insights into existing communication strategies.
- Framing Development:
- Propose initial draft framings (2–4 taglines) based on research and consultations.
- Facilitate two workshops with program staff to refine messaging.
- Deliver final taglines accompanied by short narrative summaries.
Project Duration
The consultancy is expected to last 6–8 weeks, with deliverables including:
- Week 5: Submission of draft narrative framings.
- Week 8: Finalized taglines with comprehensive narrative summaries.
