About the Role
The Global Health Program Assistant role offers a two-year opportunity to provide administrative and organizational support for teams working on global health initiatives. This position supports two key teams:
- Enterics, Diagnostics, Genomics, & Epidemiology (EDGE) Team – Focuses on childhood diarrheal disease reduction, typhoid elimination, diagnostics for infectious diseases, and pathogen surveillance in low- and middle-income countries.
- Malaria Team – Works towards malaria eradication by investing in vaccines, vector control, surveillance, health system strengthening, and strategic partnerships.
Candidates may be placed in either team based on their skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Calendar Management: Schedule and coordinate meetings across multiple time zones.
- Travel Coordination: Arrange domestic and international travel.
- Event Planning: Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and presentations.
- Administrative Support: Handle email communication, document management, expense reports, and reimbursements.
- Communication & Coordination: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including grantees and partners.
- Special Projects: Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Team Culture & Engagement: Help design team-building activities and celebrations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3+ years in an administrative role in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative approach.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
