Are you passionate about human rights and ready to help the UK Government meet its obligations? Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a UK Advocacy Officer to join our London-based UK Advocacy team. In this full-time role, you’ll work directly with the UK Director to develop and implement HRW’s advocacy strategy in the UK and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advocacy strategies on country and thematic portfolios.
Engage with stakeholders and advocate through written and oral submissions, legislative amendments, and more.
Build and maintain relationships with civil society partners and key advocacy targets.
Track policy developments, legislative plans, and Parliamentary activities.
Collaborate with the Senior Media Officer to leverage media for advocacy goals.
Assist with organizing media and advocacy events, including conferences, briefings, and roundtables.
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the UK Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Law, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in UK NGOs or related fields.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Strong knowledge of international relations and human rights.
Proficiency with MS Office and strong organizational skills.
Must possess valid UK work authorization.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary Range: GBP 46,000 – 50,500
