Job Opportunity: Project Management / Roving Grants and Compliance Advisor

As a member of the Grant Management Team, you will oversee the contract and project management of Oxfam’s humanitarian aid, transitional assistance, and development cooperation projects. These projects are funded by various institutional donors, including GFFO, BMZ, GIZ, and KfW. This role involves regular communication with colleagues in country offices, as well as travel for project monitoring and training.
Responsibilities:
- Advisory and Support: Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and provide guidance to Oxfam offices globally (virtually and in-country).
- Project Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring and management of donor-funded projects, including tracking project progress and reviewing financial flows.
- Contract and Grant Management: Advise on contract modalities and relevant regulations, and coordinate the review of supporting documentation (vouchers, agreements, etc.).
- Reporting: Prepare financial and narrative reports (including Logframes) and provide support during internal and external audits.
- Proposals: Assist in preparing proposals for institutional donors.
- Data Management: Maintain and update project data using Excel and internal project management software.
- Communication: Collaborate with donors, partners, and colleagues on ongoing projects.
Your Profile:
- Qualifications: A completed academic degree in business administration or a similar field.
- Experience: Several years of experience in project management, ideally including at least one year outside Europe.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of German donor guidelines (GFFO, BMZ, GIZ), excellent teamwork, intercultural competence, and strong numerical abilities.
- Languages: Fluency in English and German; French is a plus.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel to remote areas, and alignment with Oxfam’s values.
