Background & Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and administrative support to the ILO National Coordinator and related technical cooperation projects.

  • Support coordination between the Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) and ILO Development Cooperation (DC) projects.

  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for official missions, visiting experts, and national consultations.
  • Support procurement, contracting, and budget monitoring in accordance with ILO procedures.
  • Promote ILO visibility through event coordination, online updates, and outreach materials.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Completion of secondary school education, preferably supplemented by technical or university-level training in business administration, development, or social sciences.

Experience:

  • Minimum seven years of progressively responsible administrative or programme experience.
  • Prior experience with UN agencies or international organizations is an asset.
  • Strong command of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Lao required.

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of results-based management (RBM) and project monitoring.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
