Job Title: Manager, Donor Communications and Engagement

Salary Range: $84,657.92 – $98,414.83 USD annually
Expected Travel: Up to 20%

Key Responsibilities
1. Donor Communications Strategy
- Develop and manage an annual calendar of personalized communications and stewardship plans for major donors and prospects.
- Draft tailored messaging including cover notes, campaign summaries, stewardship letters, and event invitations.
- Track and share updates on relevant CARE initiatives, global events, and humanitarian emergencies to engage and inform donors.
2. Content Development and Outreach
- Curate impactful stories and data from CARE’s work to demonstrate the value and outcomes of donor contributions.
- Produce and distribute timely communications in response to world events or emergency appeals.
- Create customized collateral to support the efforts of frontline fundraisers.
3. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with CARE teams in Marketing, Programs, the Office of the President, and Events to align donor messaging with broader organizational strategies.
- Collaborate with the Resource Development Content and Grants Management teams to deliver high-quality impact reports.
4. Fundraiser Support
- Serve as the primary resource for fundraisers seeking marketing materials, donor engagement resources, and personalized communication strategies.
- Support special projects and donor engagement campaigns as assigned by leadership.

Eligibility and Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in donor engagement, stewardship, or communications targeting major donors.
- Familiarity with working with high-net-worth individuals or family philanthropists.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Experience in nonprofit development, major gifts fundraising, or donor communications.
- Knowledge of humanitarian, development, or philanthropic sectors.
- A passion for CARE’s mission and demonstrated commitment to humanitarian values.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures with diplomacy and discretion.
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams and managing relationships across various departments.
