As a Programme Director, you will play a key leadership role in shaping Greenpeace MENA’s strategy, overseeing campaign execution, and driving advocacy initiatives in alignment with the global Greenpeace movement. This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates located within ±2 hours of Eastern European Time (EET).

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Programme Development
- Develop and implement GP MENA’s programme strategy in alignment with Greenpeace’s global goals.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of campaigners and project leads to execute impactful campaigns.
- Ensure the effective coordination and execution of programme strategies across departments.
Team & Campaign Management
- Directly manage and mentor the programme team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Oversee campaign planning, execution, and evaluation to ensure maximum impact.
- Secure global support and funding for GP MENA campaigns and initiatives.
Digital Mobilization & Public Engagement
- Work with engagement and fundraising teams to develop and implement digital advocacy strategies.
- Lead initiatives to enhance public mobilization through social media and digital platforms.
Global Representation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent GP MENA in the global Greenpeace community, contributing to international strategies.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including policymakers, media, and partner organizations.
- Act as a media spokesperson for Greenpeace MENA when required.
Risk & Legal Compliance
- Ensure that all campaigns comply with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Implement risk assessment strategies and crisis management procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Background
- At least 10 years of experience in campaign management, public advocacy, or program leadership.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and executing high-impact initiatives.
- Experience managing diverse teams and working in international organizations.
Core Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of environmental issues and sustainability advocacy.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic and French are a plus.
