Background & Purpose of the Assignment
The Office of Internal Audit (OIGA) provides assurance on WFP’s governance, risk management, and control processes. The 2025 work plan includes 40 engagements, including an internal audit of Employee Duty of Care as a WFP Corporate Risk.
Since July 2024, Employee Duty of Care has been recognized as a medium risk in WFP’s corporate risk register. A governance framework was issued in November 2024, establishing accountability for implementation and compliance. The audit will assess the relevance, design, and effectiveness of the mitigating actions to address this corporate risk.
