- Contract Duration: April 2025 – December 2026 (extension possible)
- Salary: GBP 37,500-41,000 (adjusted for location)
- Weekly Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Engagement & Advocacy
- Lead policy and advocacy roles with wind & solar companies based on the Renewable Energy and Human Rights Benchmark (2025).
- Develop strategies to improve corporate social responsibility (CSR) jobs related to renewable energy.
- Facilitate workshops and policy briefings with companies and business associations to advocate for responsible energy transitions.
- Work with investors, private sector actors, and NGOs to promote human rights advocacy jobs.
Project Management & Reporting
- Manage projects, budgets, and reports on sustainability project manager jobs.
- Collaborate with regional teams in South Africa and Indonesia to drive change.
- Monitor and report progress using evidence-based research.
Policy Research & Development
- Conduct case studies on co-ownership project models in wind & solar energy.
- Develop policy briefings on business and human rights jobs in the energy transition employment sector.
- Provide strategic insights into corporate policies on Indigenous rights, Human Rights Defenders protection, and responsible mineral sourcing.
Community & Partner Engagement
- Work with civil society organizations (CSOs) to ensure rights holders are represented.
- Support cross-country knowledge sharing between South African and Indonesian communities.
- Represent BHRRC in global climate justice discussions, presenting key findings.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from candidates with a background in climate justice careers, renewable energy policy, corporate social responsibility (CSR) jobs, or policy and advocacy roles. Ideal candidates will have:
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in policy, research, and advocacy within the energy transition employment space.
- Expertise in business and human rights jobs, corporate social responsibility (CSR) jobs, or human rights advocacy jobs.
- Proven ability to engage with wind & solar industry stakeholders.
- Strong project management and research skills in sustainability project manager jobs.
- Experience representing organizations at external events and policy forums.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to draft reports, blogs, and presentations.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with renewable energy policies in South Africa and Indonesia.
- Knowledge of co-ownership models in wind & solar energy.
- Experience working with civil society organizations on policy and advocacy roles.
