UN Women is seeking a Gender Research and Data Specialist to support its Centre in the Republic of Korea. The role involves conducting research, data analysis, and policy development to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

✅ Lead Research & Data Analysis – Design and implement research projects on gender equality, compile gender data, and develop policy insights.
✅ Capacity Building – Develop and deliver training programs on gender statistics.
✅ Strategic Partnerships – Collaborate with governments, UN agencies, and donors on gender data initiatives.
✅ Knowledge Management – Produce reports, contribute to publications, and ensure best practices are shared across UN Women offices.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in statistics, economics, social sciences, gender studies, or a related field. (A first-level degree with additional experience may be accepted.)
Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in gender research, data analysis, and policy development.

• Strong expertise in gender statistics and data analysis, including experience with STATA, R, or Python for statistical research.

• Previous work with official statistics, research institutions, or UN agencies is an advantage.

Languages: Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Korean or another UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is a plus.
