About Gavi

Role Overview
The Programme Manager will contribute to designing and improving Gavi’s funding application and review processes to maximise impact. The role supports strategic funding initiatives such as Malaria vaccine rollouts and HPV revitalisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline and improve application and review processes for selected funding support windows.
- Develop review guidelines and innovative formats for Gavi’s Independent Review Committee (IRC).
- Conduct analytical reviews for vaccine and cash allocations.
- Work closely with international partners, including WHO, UNICEF, and national health ministries.
Qualifications:
- University degree in health-related fields, public policy, or international development.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic programme implementation.
- Expertise in grant application processes and funding strategy.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of French.
2. Senior Manager, Pandemic Preparedness, Response & Emergencies, Funding Design & Review

Role Overview
This role focuses on funding accessibility in crisis settings, including pandemics, outbreaks, and emergencies. As a subject matter expert, you will design and implement funding strategies for fragile and conflict-affected countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead funding application processes for outbreak-prone diseases and fragile settings.
- Develop eligibility rules for newly emerging infectious diseases.
- Manage compliance and funding waivers for time-sensitive applications.
- Drive operationalisation of funding strategies for pandemic preparedness.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Public Health, Public Policy, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in global health programme management.
- Experience in grant management, outbreak response, and complex partnerships.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English (French is highly desirable, Portuguese is a plus).
