Feed the Children, a globally recognized anti-hunger organization, is seeking a Regional Director, Africa to spearhead its programs across the continent. This senior-level, full-time position offers the opportunity to lead impactful initiatives aimed at ending childhood hunger.​

Role Overview: Regional Director, Africa

Location

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in Africa, preferably in countries where Feed the Children operates, such as Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, or Uganda.​

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Management (60%)

• Develop and implement regional plans aligning with the organization’s vision.​

• Lead change initiatives and drive structural enhancements for optimal operations.​

• Oversee program strategy, design, planning, budgeting, and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment & Learning).​UNDP+1LinkedIn+1

• Set regional program goals, strategies, and performance metrics.​

• Manage and develop high-performance teams, fostering a culture of excellence.​

• Ensure compliance with organizational standards for safety, security, and child protection.​

Business Development & External Relationships (20%)

• Champion business development efforts, including donor mapping and fundraising strategies.​

• Ensure alignment with programmatic needs and sustainable growth objectives.​

• Expand revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support existing programs.​

• Build and maintain partnerships with international organizations, governments, and stakeholders.​

Finance (10%)

• Coordinate grant payouts with the availability of funds.​

• Develop the annual operating budget for the department.​

• Review monthly reports and address variances.​

Knowledge Management (10%)

• Develop systems and tools to support knowledge sharing.​

• Ensure that key project outcomes are evaluated and leveraged for maximum impact.​

• Promote learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.​

• Monitor program impact and adjust strategies based on evidence.​
