Minimum Requirements (Simplified):

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, gender, public administration, or related field (a Bachelor’s with extra experience is acceptable).
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in programme management.
  • Prior work on gender issues or women’s empowerment is a huge plus.
  • Excellent English and Bosnian skills.

Bonus if you have:

  • A project management certification (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®).
  • Experience working with UN agencies or in multilateral settings.

📋 Your Core Responsibilities

Programme Planning & Development

  • Develop and support impactful gender equality programmes aligned with UN Women’s strategic goals.
  • Review project strategies and help prepare work plans.
  • Draft donor proposals and reports.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Set up programme indicators and assess progress.
  • Compile technical reports and data.
  • Prepare the office for audits.

Team Leadership & Budget Oversight

  • Manage programme staff and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure that projects meet financial targets.
  • Coordinate between programmes and operations.

Partnerships & Resource Mobilization

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs, and the private sector.
  • Contribute to fundraising and joint UN programmes like the Gender Equality Accelerator Joint Programme.

Knowledge Sharing

  • Identify lessons learned and best practices.
  • Help develop reports, case studies, and global knowledge resources.
