In this context, the Gender and Human Rights Officer will contribute to advancing gender equality and human rights across multiple projects within the HEART Program. Key Responsibilities: Driving Gender Equality and Human Rights Initiatives
As the Gender and Human Rights Officer, you will report directly to the HEART Cluster Lead and collaborate closely with colleagues in the program and operations sections of UNDP Indonesia. Your main responsibilities will include:

Technical Assistance and Capacity Building

Provide high-quality advisory support on gender and human rights initiatives, focusing on technical assistance for the Global Fund Principal Recipients.

Develop and implement training modules and e-learning platforms to enhance the knowledge and capacity of stakeholders involved in community system strengthening for human rights (CSS HR) implementation.

Collaborate with UN AIDS-TSM and IAC as principal recipients to create virtual-animated modules that establish minimum standards of knowledge and capacity for staff members.

Community Engagement and Advocacy

Facilitate active community participation by strengthening the CSS-HR District Task Force, which monitors and advocates for quality public services with a focus on human rights and gender issues.

Support communities in advocating for data protection when accessing feedback platforms, while tracking reports on stigma and discrimination in public services.

Monitoring and Reporting
-
Produce gender-sensitive result reporting that transparently communicates the impact and outcomes of the HEART Program.

Utilize gender markers to assess and measure improvements in gender equality and women’s empowerment within the program portfolio.

Ensure compliance with gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation frameworks to maximize budget allocation contributing to gender equality results.

Capacity Assessment and Training

Lead capacity assessments of gender mainstreaming and propose gender equality-related capacity-building activities for HEART staff and stakeholders.

Conduct training sessions on gender analysis, programming, and other relevant topics to enhance the capacity of team members and partners.

Knowledge Sharing and Best Practices
-
Organize workshops and capacity-building activities in consultation with technical experts and stakeholders, including government, NGOs, donors, and academia.

Identify and document best practices and lessons learned from project implementation, ensuring knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifications: What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
-
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Psychology, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in these areas combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience will also be considered.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in gender equality and human rights (with a Master’s degree) or 4 years of relevant experience (with a Bachelor’s degree).

Proven experience in providing technical support and capacity building to national or multilateral organizations.

Strong background in gender analysis, public health, and experience in HIV/AIDS initiatives are highly desirable.

Experience working with UNDP or other UN agencies is a plus.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required.
