Background & Job Description
As part of its strategic plan to deepen engagement with philanthropies, UNDP’s Bureau for External Relations and Advocacy (BERA) is recruiting a skilled team to manage partnerships, develop funding proposals, and lead grant oversight with donors globally. These roles support UNDP’s goals of promoting sustainability, inclusion, climate action, and good governance by forging alliances with private donors, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
The positions include:
- Philanthropy Partnerships Manager (Europe, Asia, Gulf, US West Coast) – IPSA-12
- Philanthropy Grants Manager – IPSA-11
- Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist – IPSA-11
Tasks
Each position carries slightly different responsibilities, but across the board, selected professionals will:
- Develop, manage, and grow philanthropic partnerships.
- Conduct landscape analysis of funding trends and donor ecosystems.
- Prepare tailored partnership proposals and co-investment strategies.
- Lead proposal design, grant reporting, and donor communications.
- Design monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks.
- Represent UNDP at philanthropic and donor collaboration forums.
- Maintain CRM databases and pipeline tracking for donor relations.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Master’s degree in international development, public administration, communications, or a related field is required.
- A bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a master’s.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience (depending on level) in partnership development, donor engagement, or grant management.
- Prior experience with international NGOs, philanthropic foundations, donor agencies, or the UN system is strongly preferred.
- Strong writing, communication, and proposal development skills.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with resource mobilization strategies and impact reporting.

Additional Information
- Contract Type: International Personnel Services Agreement (IPSA)
- Contract Level: IPSA-11 to IPSA-12
- Work Schedule: Full-time, Remote
- Salary Range:
- IPSA-11: Up to $9,300/month
- IPSA-12: Up to $11,000/month
