UNICEF Innocenti – Global Office of Research and Foresight is opening a roster of consultants to support its Social & Economic Policy (SEP) unit in its mission to generate high-quality research on pressing issues impacting children around the world. The SEP unit at UNICEF Innocenti is seeking pre-qualified candidates who are ready to provide a range of research services. These include conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, data analysis, literature reviews, and the creation of research outputs such as reports, briefs, or academic articles. If you possess expertise in social protection, child poverty, public finance, or data science, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities of Consultants:

• Conduct high-quality quantitative or qualitative research for UNICEF’s social policy projects.
• Provide technical expertise in impact evaluations of cash transfers, social protection interventions, and other social development programs.
• Analyze public finance, budget processes, and perform macroeconomic simulations.
• Lead research teams and collaborate with ministries of education, UNICEF offices, and international partners to ensure the dissemination of research findings.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Quantitative skillset on impact evaluations, social protection, public finance, and more.
• Qualitative expertise in process evaluations, political economy analysis, and related fields.
• Advanced knowledge in data science, machine learning, or big data analytics is highly desirable.

Consultants will be evaluated based on:

• Relevant education and professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research outputs.
• Experience working with international organizations, especially UNICEF or similar entities.
