Key Responsibilities
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will be part of the Community Development Programme (CDP), supporting project planning, monitoring, and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Support
- Assist in developing and implementing MEAL frameworks and tools.
- Support the design and testing of monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and analysis.
- Contribute to project planning by integrating MEAL strategies.
Data Management and Analysis
- Aggregate and analyze data to measure program performance.
- Maintain organized project records to support reporting.
- Help summarize and interpret data for key stakeholders.
Report Writing and Stakeholder Support
- Prepare progress and monitoring reports.
- Draft materials for donors, partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure clear and impactful presentation of facts and figures.
Who Should Apply?
This role is perfect for candidates with a passion for data-driven decision-making in humanitarian and development projects. You do not need to meet all criteria, but some preferred qualifications include:
Education:
✔ Master’s degree in International Development, Law, Human Rights, Statistics, Sociology, Peace Studies, or a related field.
✔ A Bachelor’s degree + two years of experience will also be considered.
Experience:
✔ At least 1 year of relevant MEAL experience in humanitarian, development, or peacebuilding programs.
✔ Experience in monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, or database management.
✔ Strong writing and analytical skills.
✔ Familiarity with MS Office, Google Suite, or data tools (e.g., KOBO Collect) is a plus.
✔ Experience working in conflict-affected areas is an advantage.
Languages:
✔ Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
✔ Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
