About the Role
UNICEF Ukraine is assembling a roster of experts and trainers to support programmatic initiatives aligned with the UNICEF Country Programme Document (2025-2029) and the Gender Strategy for Ukraine (2025-2029). Selected consultants will contribute to child and adolescent rights programs, emphasizing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

Areas of Expertise Needed:
✔ Gender-responsive child protection systems
✔ Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for children and families
✔ Gender-transformative education & teacher training
✔ Youth engagement and girls’ empowerment
✔ Maternal, newborn, and child health
✔ Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in humanitarian contexts
✔ Gender-responsive WASH programming
✔ Gender and social protection programs
✔ Advocacy for the rights of women and girls in emergency contexts
✔ Social behavior change and community engagement strategies
✔ Gender mainstreaming across all sectors (health, education, WASH, child protection)
Key Responsibilities
✔ Conduct assessments, evaluations, and gender analysis for UNICEF projects
✔ Develop training materials and capacity-building workshops
✔ Provide strategic and technical advice on child rights and gender policies
✔ Engage in advocacy efforts to promote gender equality
✔ Contribute to research, planning, and program development
Required Qualifications
✔ Education: Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a related field
✔ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in child rights, gender equality, social policy, or related sectors
✔ Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and research skills; ability to design and conduct training
✔ Languages: Proficiency in Ukrainian (C2 level) is required; English proficiency is an advantage
