Purpose of the Role:
Selected consultants will work on the design, development, migration, and enhancement of WHO Academy’s digital learning programmes. This includes applying adult learning science, creating inclusive content, integrating AI tools, and ensuring full compliance with WHO standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Course Design & Quality Orientation
- Identify learning needs with WHO’s Technical Units
- Create detailed concept notes covering objectives, audiences, and evaluation metrics
2. Competency Mapping & Curriculum Design
- Structure learning modules and align them with WHO transversal competencies
- Design curriculum frameworks using evidence-based instructional methodologies
3. Storyboard Development
- Draft course content using WHO Academy’s high-quality learning principles
- Work with internal QA, localization, and design teams
4. Course Production & Migration
- Use tools like Storyline, Rise, Adapt, Open edX to create or migrate courses
- Oversee outsourced development if needed
5. Post-Launch Support
- Upload, test, and maintain SCORM packages
- Troubleshoot issues and document updates
- Leverage learner feedback and data analytics for course optimization
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Essential: Advanced degree in Educational Sciences, Instructional Design, or Learning Technologies
- Desirable: Background in graphic design, quality assurance, HTML5, or public health
Experience:
- 2–5 years in adult education, e-learning development, or instructional design
- Proficiency with tools like Rise, Storyline, Adapt, Open edX
