Its technology provides data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy infrastructure for applications involving tokenised assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and decentralised finance.

According to the organisation, its technology has been adopted by major financial services institutions and blockchain protocols. Chainlink’s infrastructure supports the development of applications that connect financial markets with blockchain networks.

Chainlink Labs operates as a remote-first organisation and recruits professionals to support its technology, business, and operational functions.

About the Role

The People Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to leaders across Chainlink’s product and engineering teams. Rather than focusing exclusively on traditional human resources administration, the position requires an understanding of business priorities and how people-related decisions influence organisational performance.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a detailed understanding of the teams they support, identify challenges affecting employees, and communicate relevant feedback to senior leadership.

The organisation emphasises effectiveness, urgency, business outcomes, and evidence-based decision-making in its People Business Partner model.

Key Responsibilities

1. People Strategy and Organisational Development

The People Business Partner will help develop and refine people programmes that support organisational objectives. These include performance management, employee promotions, career levelling, and related processes.

The role requires collaboration with business leaders to ensure people initiatives address actual operational needs.

2. Workforce Planning and Change Management

The successful candidate will support workforce planning, organisational design, and change management initiatives.

This involves understanding business requirements, market conditions, and the competitive environment to help align organisational structures and talent strategies with company priorities.

3. Performance Management

The position includes responsibility for helping guide performance management processes and supporting effective promotion and levelling frameworks.

The People Business Partner will work with leaders to ensure that people programmes contribute to accountability, employee development, and organisational effectiveness.

4. Collaboration Across the People Team

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues responsible for People Operations and Technology, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards.

This cross-functional approach is intended to improve the implementation of people programmes and ensure that human resources activities support the needs of product and engineering teams.

5. Employee Feedback and Leadership Support

People Business Partners at Chainlink Labs are expected to gather feedback from team members and communicate relevant concerns to business leaders and the Chief People Officer.

This responsibility requires strong analytical skills, sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to balance business priorities with genuine care for employees.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • At least eight years of experience as a high-performing People Business Partner in a comparable operating model.
  • At least two years of experience working in a fast-paced technology company.
  • Experience supporting engineering and/or product organisations.
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence and an understanding of how AI is changing work.

The organisation also values professionals who prioritise business outcomes, use data to inform decisions, and consider practical employee experiences alongside analytical evidence.

Candidates should demonstrate logical thinking, independent judgement, empathy, and a willingness to question conventional human resources practices when better approaches are available.

Salary and Benefits

The advertised annual cash compensation range for remote US locations is $119,000 to $281,000.

Chainlink Labs states that compensation depends on factors such as relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. The organisation follows a zone-based compensation model.

In addition to cash compensation, the company offers long-term incentives and comprehensive benefits. The final compensation package is discussed during the recruitment process.

Remote Work and Location Requirements

The position is advertised as remote, with listed locations including New York, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Miami, Tampa, and Toronto.

However, remote work does not mean applicants can work from any country. Employment eligibility depends on residing in an approved hiring jurisdiction. Team members may also work outside their primary country of legal residence for a maximum of 90 days per calendar year.

Unless otherwise agreed for the role, working hours must overlap with Eastern Time.

Applicants should confirm their location eligibility and work authorisation with the recruiter.
