The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is recruiting a Regional Communications and Visibility Officer to support its Early Childhood Development (ECD) portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

About the Role
The Regional Communications and Visibility Officer will support communications and visibility activities across the IRC’s regional Early Childhood Development portfolio.
Working closely with country offices, regional teams, and global communications colleagues, the successful candidate will develop compelling stories, manage communications assets, coordinate visibility activities, and strengthen donor and public engagement.
This is a 12-month full-time position, with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Write blogs, case studies, newsletters, press releases, and human-interest stories.
- Develop content for digital and social media platforms.
- Coordinate the collection of photos, videos, testimonials, and multimedia assets.
- Maintain communications libraries and content management systems.
- Support regional and country communications strategies.
- Coordinate communications with partners and country offices.
- Ensure branding and donor visibility compliance.
- Manage communications vendors and external consultants.
- Support donor reporting and communications planning.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, International Development, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional communications experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
- Experience producing human-interest stories and multimedia content.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Brandfolder, SharePoint, Box, or similar platforms is considered an advantage.
Previous experience working in humanitarian, education, early childhood development, or international NGO programmes is highly desirable.
Travel Requirements
The role includes up to 30% travel across the MENA region, including countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria.
