The Foundation’s Global Health Department works with governments, multilateral organizations, philanthropic partners, academic institutions, and civil society to strengthen pandemic preparedness, health security, disease surveillance, malaria advocacy, and health systems worldwide.
About the Role
The Senior Associate will support the Foundation’s work on:
- Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response
- Pandemic Risk Assessment (PRA)
- Malaria advocacy
- Global health policy
- Strategic partnerships
- Communications and stakeholder engagement
The role also supports workshops, expert consultations, strategy meetings, and collaboration with global partners.
This is a hybrid position, requiring employees to work in the office three days per week and remotely two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Support pandemic preparedness initiatives.
- Conduct research and policy analysis.
- Draft reports, briefing papers, blogs, presentations, and donor updates.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Support partnerships with governments and international organizations.
- Assist with grants, contracts, and reporting.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support senior leadership on strategic global health priorities.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, International Affairs, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in global health, research, programme management, international development, or policy.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication skills.
Experience working with organizations such as WHO, Gavi, CEPI, the Global Fund, CDC, or other global health partners is considered an advantage.
